Three of our grandkids came yesterday to decorate our Christmas tree, as they do every year. They seemed particularly happy to do it this year, even more so than in the past. I can’t pinpoint why exactly, but they had a grand time and decorated the tree with great efficiency and speed. This morning, I had a wonderful conversation with an elderly woman in the checkout line of Target. In the short time we were together, we bonded over our lack of height (she is 4’9” and I’m 5’1-1/2” tall), being short-waisted, and sitting in restaurants with our chins almost meeting the table.
